The National Association of Field Training Officers is seeking individuals who would be interested in serving the organization as its Executive Director. In order to provide for a smooth transition, it is hoped that interested individuals will apply and attend the 2010 National Conference While at the conference, the national board will conduct personal interviews with interested applicants and a selection will be made during the conference. This will provide opportunity for current director to meet with and train the newly selected director as to all of the duties of the Executive Director. Current Duties: Maintain membership roll of active members Maintain the financial affairs of the organization Receive and process new members to the organization Organize and plan the National Conference working with the National Board Serve as a representative of NAFTO to various law enforcement and other organizations Be a resource to State chapters and cultivate a growing, vibrant membership Be a resource to develop and start new state chapters in the organization Serve as the official conduit regarding the official daily business of NAFTO Work with the National Board and State chapters to cultivate additional members to NAFTO Receive and process applications for Master FTO for the National Board’s review Receive and process applications for FTO of the Year for the National Board’s review Qualifications: Must be a member in good standing with NAFTO Strong interest to lead and serve Strong time management skills Effective communicator in both written and spoken communications Financial acumen Integrity of the highest caliber Willingness to serve for the love and purpose of the organization Benefits: Being the spokesperson for the most well known national training organization of FTOs Opportunity to further develop organizational and management skills When financially possible, the National Board will remunerate the Executive Director with a monthly stipend and/or annual bonus dependent on performance review by the Board.
